Palanthir, Random Posts and Random Thoughts

Posted by David D'Angelo Friday, April 11, 2008 ,

Seeing Palanthir at first bring me to the question... What is the blog all about? The posts were relatively short and at most is told in pictures. The first post on this blog is dated August 21, 2006 and it seems boredom got in and the blog did not take off. Then finally, on December 30, 2007 the blog decided to kick off and begin the new life of Palenthir. So what's this blog all about?

The site owner describes his blog in Entrecard this way...

A Blog with variety of articles, news clippings, softwares, rare mp3s, polls, quotes, wallpapers, personal ramblings, advisory content etc.

Well indeed there are a lot of varying articles which can be a good source of resources but at the same time confused the readers as to what is being offered by the blog. I browsed through some of this blogs article and I found too interesting articles. The first one was about solving Rubik's Cube which was linked to another website who is the main source of the article (congrats for practicing disclosure and netiquette!).

The second article I did like was about Top 30 Youngest Bloggers In the World, but then again this was not his original post and thanks again proper credits is given to the owner.

Great site for finding random articles and posts but with no proper labeling searching might be difficult for visitors. Why did I say this? Well because I cannot help but notice that all labels only contain a single article.

Blogs with variations of articles and traverse multiple categories and topics has an advantage in drawing visitors from all locations and interest though it has also the danger of not being unique hence loyalty can be a problem.

This blog has room for improvement. I think the layout needs improvement. Although it is simple I think better organization of widgets and labeling as well as some coloring might do the trick. Arrangement of articles and photos should also be improved since this makes reading very difficult.

I was also thinking what does Palanthir means? Is it an Indian word? Just curious about it. Well so much for that so if you are looking for relevant posts which am sure will interest you, you can go and see the rest of Palanthir.
